Euthanizations rise sharply at Ventura County Animal Shelter » Ventura County Star

In years past, the shelter might have euthanized animals one or two days a week, Callaway said. Now it’s four or five days a week.

“The adoption rate has plummeted,” Callaway said. “The animals I knew were safe before; now we’re having to euthanize.”

Foster or forever homes needed immediately for these four little ones so that more can be rescued.
